With Northern European folk, prog-folk, classical, alt-pop and UK jazz influences, boci's astral dream-folk sound tapestry is woven with layers of euphoric string textures, crystalline vocals, expansive synths and therapeutic percussive grooves. I am Warface
IAMWARFACE is a Nu-Rock Band formed in Brighton 2016 by singer/producer Matt Warneford. The name is a cunning metaphor for his own original style of bombastic high-energy groove based electro-rock, which has been affectionaly branded “Rocktronica” by none other than legendary Virgin Radio host Eddy Temple Morris.

Heavily influenced by classic British TV shows inc Nathan Barley, BlackMirror & The Mighty Boosh. Leg Puppy recently collaborated with Swedish Grammis nominated Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation on Secret friend, the track was aired on BBC 6.

Dramalove
As heard on the BBC Introducing frequencies with the single "Lady Macbeth", the exuberant Brighton alt-rock three piece Dramalove mix guitar based rock with electronic angularity and darkly poetic lyricisms. The two twin brothers Diego and Riccardo Soncin relocated to the U.K. some three years ago to make their dreams come true and they've quickly gained a dedicated following, thanks to their frantic and brief shows, after reaching the MTV charts and finals on the Italian X-Factor supported by Mika and Skin from Skunk Anansie.
The sensitivity that Dramalove expresses in their music really resonates because of all the pings it sets off in the listener’s brain, each one hitting like a nearly erased memory. It’s Tim Burton and Edgar Allan Poe shaking hands while they reborn as a unique Instagram rock star.
100 Lewes Women Book
Our book 100 Lewes Women: Women’s lives in Lewes Past and Present was launched on 20 November 2020 to mark Equal Pay Day
Our host for the day was Lewes FC. This pioneering community-owned club was the first in the world to pay its male and female players equally.
The new book tells the stories of notable local women who have made a difference to our community. They include women who successfully campaigned to change the way we vote, as well as women who succeeded in science, business and the arts. Coming right up-to-date, the book contains interviews with women in leadership roles today. All-in-all, they add up to our list of 100 inspiring Lewes Women. The second half of the book highlights the hopes of today’s generation. In 2019, the then mayor Janet Baah’s hosted Girls Talk at Lewes Town Hall. A hundred girls from local schools were invited to speak directly about their concerns and aspirations. We hear about the changes the rising generation want to see over the coming decade.

Singer songwriter and music producer. Long time collaborator with Antipole, having co written, sung on and produced their last 3 albums. Paris and Antipole have remixed many acts, including Clan of Xymox. He has also worked with Legpuppy and Iamwarface
Lady Shakes
Rapper Lady Shakespeare’s namesake is quite the one to live up to, but after listening to just a few minutes of her music, it’s clear that the artist deserves the title.
She’s been compared to artists like Missy Elliot and Da Brat, however she considers herself an original-- and justifiably so. She began seriously writing at age 18, and hasn’t looked back since then.
Songs such as “Genesis” and “I Deserve U” highlight her style and have earned thousands of streams. Lady Shakespeare has already been featured on Vibration Records’ upcoming Rap + R&B playlist. Looking towards the future, she’s poised to become a household name.
Divina De Campo
Divina De Campo is the stage name of Owen Farrow, a seasoned British drag queen and singer. Known for her high soprano and 4-octave range, Divina has been featured on national television programs including The Voice, All Together Now, and most recently on the first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Her love of theater led her to star in stage productions including The Ruby Slippers, a play that explores prejudice in the LGBT community, and Dancing Bear, a musical that explores faith, sexuality and gender identity.
Elsa McTaggart
In 2016 Elsa and Gary Lister officially moved back to Scotland and completed their first International Tour (The coming home tour) with great success. They followed the tour with a Scottish Folk set and a new album ‘, Lassie Will Ye Go’, released at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2016. That was followed by a new tribute to the songs and life of Eva Cassidy ‘The Story’ in 2017.
Bashir Al-Gamar
Bashir is a poet, songwriter and composer, since 1991 he has written and composed more than 40 poems and songs, mainly in Arabic. Most of them are well known in his home country, Sudan. Some of his songs have been recorded by Sudanese National TV and radio. At present he is working on a new collection of poetry called 'Rhythm and Resonance' He is also planning to perform his poetry in several countries with a Sudanese singer.
Polina Shepherd
Polina Shepherd (Skovoroda) was born in Siberia and grew up in a home where songs were regularly sung at a family table. Now an internationally renowned singer, she brings the songs of the Steppes and the Shtetl up to date with passion and haunting soul. Her singing, though based on traditional forms, cuts a sound deeply rooted in east European Jewish and Russian folk. Growing up in Tatarstan also placed her close to Islamic ornamentation and timbre, which can be heard in her unique vocal style and four-octave range.
